Black Hawk Hancock is an assistant professor of Sociology at DePaul University and a Senior Faculty Fellow at the Egan Urban Center . He earned his bachelor's degrees in English and Philosophy at the University of California at Berkeley and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison . He is also an accomplished dancer, teacher, and performer of Lindy Hop, Swing, Ballroom, Swing, Tango, and Steppin'.
